  3. Play 8th note rock grooves on the hi hat, ride cymbal, floor tom and crash cymbal

  4. When playing the ride, play the hi hat pedal on beats 2 and 4

  5. Play with quarter note and offbeat hi hat patterns

  6. Maintain a steady tempo and groove with a click at 80-120 bpm

  7. Align bass and snare notes with the hi hat - no flamming

  8. Balance the dynamics between bass drum, snare drum and hi hat

  9. Play open hi hats

  10. Record an 8th note rock groove to a drumless track
